Domestic Violence Information
The Domestic Violence Unit provides self-help assistance to parties seeking Injunctions for Protection by providing guidance on court processes, procedures, statutory information, and required forms. The Unit also provides case flow management for Injunction Court, overseeing cases from immediately following filing through disposition and coordinating the events and timeframes necessary to move cases forward efficiently.
Together, these functions support a fair, timely, and predictable court process. Effective case flow management helps ensure cases are resolved within timeframes appropriate to their nature, resources are used efficiently, and all litigants have meaningful access to the court, enhancing the quality of the litigation process and public confidence in the court.
